Repiercing my belly button after my body rejected it??

Question: I got my belly button pierced in August 2003 and my body rejected soon after it was pierced. I have recently been thinking about getting it repierced, but I'm scared that it will just be rejected again. Also, there is scar tissue there that has built up and I'm afraid it will hurt to have it pierced again. Will it hurt more to get it pierced since there is scar tissure there? Would it be okay for me to get it repierced? Thanks!
Answers: yes it will hurt. scar tissue hurts worse than anything, just to be honest.
i used to work at a piercing shop and most people who got theirs re pierced after their body rejected it once had the same problem.
guess your body is just trying to tell you something.
If you think it hurts if you peirce it don't peirce it. It will hurt though. I don't think your body will reject it again.
i had the same thing happen, my body rejected it the 1st time, then i waited for 6 months and redid it, same thing again. i wouldnt waste your money.
I am guessing your body rejected the particular metal used. So chose some kind of material that you are sure you will not reject.
Then I'd suggest an actual doctor for the second piercing. I think it would go well in that case.
Honestly; I suggest to try it again if the scar tissue isn't that bad. I had my nipples pierced, and 3 months later they had rejected completely. I just recently got them redone (with scar tissue and all) and, yes, it was much more painful, however, I let the piercer know I had had them rejected before, so he used a larger hoop to pierce it with. So far, so good!
However, you may not be able to get the piercing again in the same place if there is too much scar tissue. May I suggest having the inverse naval piercing? (Bottom of the belly button). I have both the top and bottom done on mine, and however, the bottom pinches just a tad bit more, it still looks amazing!
Hope this helps!
Good luck!
yes it will hurt to pierce it again since you do have scar tissue built up. but that COULD be a good thing. the scar tissuse may prevent it from rejecting again. but there is still a chance your body can reject it again.. but i hear the more scar tissue you build up the better

good luck with it! and just talk to your piercer about it! good luck. :)
it will re-ject it again and it will hurt like a mother when you re-pierce it

sorry but if you do it you will only be putting yourself though needless pain and cost you more money

have you been tested to see if you are allergic to the metal that was used ?
if you feel wrong about it then i would do it go with your feelings
