What is the difference between a sparrow and a swallow tattoo.??

Question: The symbolism appears to be that a swallow comes from the navy and represents 5000 miles travelled. A sparrow has a religious reference in the bible. Is there any difference in design except that a sparrow has a solid tail and a swallow a forked tail. Please correct me if i'm wrong, I would love to hear from anyone who can shed some light on this, especially on the diffence in designs between the two.
Answers: You're rigth about the swallow tattoo, it is from the Navy and it represents 5000 miles, but they can also represent love when you get them in pairs. Swallows can also be a symbol of loyalty because they fly home every year.
Sparrows represent freedom, which is why a lot of criminals have them tattooed when they get out. Sparrows are also thought to drive away evil.
In design they are very similar but swallows have forked tails and sparrows have rounded heads.
your hot,will you go out w/ me...i luv u....
For the most part, the swallow is a symbol of good luck and is a favorite bird in traditional tattoo design, typically done in blue and also commonly appearing in pairs. The source of this symbolism likely lies in its association with the coming of Spring. The swallow is associated with homecoming and also resurrection, no doubt from its natural behavior
