Have you had Lasik surgery??

Question: I have lousy vision and am contemplating this procedure. I'd like some anecdotal info from anyone who has had it done.
I was told that you can't wear eye make up for a long time, I guess as it would be hard to clearns it until you are totally healed, but that might be wrong info.
thanks
Answers: My husband had RK done 15 years ago and Lasik 2 years ago. We live in a very arid area and keeping the eyes moist was a problem - he needed me there to wake him during the night to remove the cone protectors over his eyes and put drops in every couple hours (he was drugged) and to drive him to the appointment the next day.
No problems after that - went back to work, but never did wear makeup. Out of the 3 other people we knew - that had lasik on that same day - they all pretty much had the same experience. The one that lived by himself didn't wake up to put drops in his eyes and dislodged his lens by morning. Skip the vanity or have your eyeliner tattooed on a month before you get it done. You won't be sorry getting either done.
Good grief--I had it done at 11:00 one morning, and got up the next morning, showered, put on my make up and drove to my follow up appointment. Most doctors who do this will answer any questions you have for little if any fees.
LASIK, an acronym for Laser-assisted In Situ Keratomileusis, is a form of refractive laser eye surgery procedure performed by ophthalmologists intended for correcting near- and far-sightedness in vision. The procedure is usually a preferred alternative to photorefractive keratectomy, PRK, as it requires less time for full recovery, and the patient experiences less pain overall. Many patients choose LASIK as an alternative to wearing corrective glasses or contact lenses.
i considered lasik surgery as well but found out your vision has to stay stable for at least 1 year to qualify for it.
