Sometimes tat artists buy albums of premade pix to use from other artists.anyone know what co. sells them??
Question: OK. Last time asked, maybe I was misclear. I know tattoo artists do a lot of their own work, but they also sometimes buy albums of other artists stuff too and fill it in with color if someone wants it. I've seen different artists' work in a parlour, so I know it happens. Does anyone know if it's a company or group, whatever, whoever it is that sells the parlours these albums full of pix? I'd like to see if they would llike to buy anything I have to offer. I dunno, I've just been told I should find out about it, so I'm asking. (the last people who answered got angry for some reason...so really, not trying to be rude to the actual tat artists here)
Answers: Those books are called flash art. When my sone was 11 or 12, he was selling drawings to my personal tattoo artist. If you have great talent and AWESOME fine lines, go around and show it off to tat shops. Look online for tattoo conventions. Set up your own booth and display designs you have made and maybe even offer to do custom designs on a pay babis for people to take to their artist.

It is called flash art, and while every studio in the world will have an assload of this everywhere, many people don't feel it should be used(the theory that it doesn't have any meaning if you just snatch it off a wall). Hence the derision. Get any copy of any tattoo magazine(especially Flash magazine), and you will be able to find many companies that sell flash with no trouble at all!
