Any ideas for a celtic/irish tattoo??

Question: i'm french ,im going to Ireland next summer ! i want to get a tattoo while im there ?i'd like it to be something special, something ,irish celtic, who reminds me of my trip ! any ideas? except shamrock !
Answers: If you're interested in a symbol then you might try a Celtic Knot design. There's also something similar that's called the Triple Spiral that is of Celtic/Pre-Celtic origin. Probably the most famous Celtic symbol would be the Celtic Cross.

Try checking out the Celtic Mythology page below for some other ideas. Also see the WikiPedia page on Celtic Symbols for lots more ideas.

Then of course there's the Leprechaun, though that might be a bit much. ;)
A tiny rainbow! (You know, at the end of every rainbow is a pot of gold)
Pat Fish Tattoo don't know the specific web address but she's got some great ones. www.luckyfish.com just looked it up.
What about a '60s style peace symbol done in Celtic knotwork? Use a combination of red and green to add definition to it, so it stands out. hope this helps.
The harp.
Here is a source site that has a list of sites of celtic symbols, but if you're going Ireland you may find that the tattoo shops there may have a wider variety to choose from. Eitherway, it doesn't hurt to start researching the meaning of the symbols before you go.

Have fun in Ireland that should be an awesome trip.
