Dry/cracked lips??

Question: My lips are so dry and I don't know why. It started about 2 weeks ago, my lips just got really dry and they were so dry that they cracked and now I have a cut on my lower lip and one on my upper. I tried putting vaseline on and it helped but is there any way to prevent this?
Answers: Try wearing your vaseline or other lip products over night, this usually clears it up by morning. Also, licking your lips in a windy enviroment or even with a ceiling fan on cause chapping. Another reason is dehydration; make sure you're drinking lots of water.
If the weather changes.
drink more water
I would just constantly keep moisture on them
i suggest that you put carmex on them as often as u need to like 5-6 times a day. every day even though there not dry!
no just drink allot of water to rehydrate you and where chap stick when you are out in the cold ....
see the doctor and then drink more water
Drink lots of water. Use lip gloss with a moisturizer in it.
use carmex
1.) Don't lick your lips
2.) Lip balm
3.) Drink water

Weather changes can cause it, as well.
I use carmex religiously. Anytime my lips to feel even the least bit dry, I apply some. Its relativley cheap I think only like 2 bucks. I hope this helps.
Dry/Cracked lips are result of the atmosphere around you.
Some people get it cracked in summer and some in winter , so depending upon the climate , you should use the ointments.
Evergreen ointment is to get kissed daily :)
kiss more often keep them moist
Find a Mary Kay consultant
Mary Kay sells theee best lip balm ever.
Youll be licking your lips for days :)
I would say not licking your lips, drink more water, and use really good chapstick!
yes you can douche more or try sum lubricants so your lips wont get dry and crack. maybe wear something less tight . some good old granny panties!! and try seeing a doctor .tell them how dry you are down there.. maybe its just a dry Virgina thing .or a yeast infection or something
use carmex. i had extremely dry lips for a week or two then over the weekend i used carmex for the first time and by monday my lips were back to normal. you just have to remember to keep putting it on. the more you use it the better it will be. and especially put some on at night.

once your lips get better don't stop cause then it can happen again. use it every now and then.
Vaseline is the best thing once you have chapped lips, but Chapstick or a similar lip balm is better for preventing it from happening in the first place. Just get in the habit of putting some on every day. It's part of getting old ; my lips started chapping regularly when I was about 15 or 16.
Get some neosporin lip treatment, apply it frequently until your lips are no longer chapped. Drink lots of liquids, and reapply the neosporin lip treamtment after you eat, after you blow your nose, etc. Slather it on before bed. Did you get new lipstick recently, it could dry your lips. Did you have a cold? Blowing your nose and cause lip irritation, too. Drink more water than you want and use the Neosporin Lip Treatment!
hydrate urself inside by drinking more water evenly throughout the day. use a lip balm.
Have some happy lips.
Um well, you have definitely got to drink plenty of water. If you are dehydrated or do not drink enough water then your lips are more susceptible to being cracked and dry. Especially when it gets hot out. Even when it's cold, it gets dry, and then as a result, people's lips will get cracked. Blistex works really well. Just make sure that you are prepared for change in season, because that is what usually causes chapped lips, and that is the best way to prevent it.
use chaplip befor it happens it happens because if the weather is cold or the wind neix time go to the walk in clinik and see the doctor they have cream for that it works better. i get it too.
A few years ago, my sister in law was a mary kay consultant and she got us this lip treatment stuff that made my lips really smooth. It had little exfoliating beads in it or something like that and you leave it on for a minute or so and then you wipe it off and put lip balm on. I don't remember what's it's called or if they even still make it, but I'm sure you could find something similar at a cosmetics store. Good luck!
Don't use Vaseline or Lip Balm - both are made with petroleum jelly (petro = gas).

If you can't find plain ol' Shea butter - try checking out a health food store for Burts Bee's lip balm. It's 100% natural without any man made (petroleum) crap in it.

Or check out these ladies, I know them personally, and they make fantastic products:

And like the other said - drink loads of water
I use Manuka Honey and apply on lips over night. It works very well.. Usually i feel my lips is tend n soft after the night of application..but it can be abit annoy since u have to apply it over the night b4 u sleep.

& Manuka Honey is very essential in hydration. You probably can purchased at those stalls that sells supplement & Vitamins. Hope it helps you ^^.
try constantly using vaseline and drinking a lot of water. i get it all the time and i'm always drinking water, yet still comes about.
just keep putting on the vaseline. when your lips are moist like after you get out the shower put vaseline on them
u need lips cream products more information http://www.skincarefairy.com
Vaseline only works at KEEPING moisture in lips not moisturising them. I suffer from dry lips and have been told that it is a sign of a vitamin deficiency. So i take multi-vitamin tanelts everyday and to keep myself topped up. but as a fast solution to your problem try Nivea SOS lipbalm. When i had bad dry lips they re hydrated them quickly, I use it everyday now.
mary kay has a satin lips set the is really affordable and works great on cracked lips....they also have new lip glosses that moisturizer and will add some color without wearing lip liner or lipstick
