Teen girls: How do you keep your feet soft and pretty? (When you're always barefoot and dance a lot)??
Question: Any tips on how I can keep my feet nice and soft? Any ways to get rid of dryness, calluses (from dancing), and after that make my feet look even nicer?
Anyone who's read my other posts will know I'm a ballet beginner.
I'm always barefoot or in flip flops unless I have to wear shoes (e.g. PE or dance class), so it's extra important to have my feet look presentable. I've also not worn socks for a long time, two years or so.
Thanks!
Answers: Put Vaseline or Bag Balm** on your feet and cover them with socks every night. Use a pumice stone on the shower.
Also, I know you have a tight schedule. But try to get a pedicure once a month (they don't take that long). They can shave off the dead skin and file the nails to prevent ingrowns. Then you can work on maintaining it at home.
***Bag balm can be found in most drugstores. It was primarily used for cow's utters to keep them protected from the elements.
Soak them in a bowl of hot water and dishsoap for 10 minutes every night and use a pumice stone
Something to remember about calluses: They develop for a reason. They protect you.
For example, I have calluses on the sides of my feet just below where the toes start. Why? I constantly have on 4 pumps. I got rid of them once with a pedicure and the shoes hurt until my calluses came back.
So, if you are a dancer, you might want to keep the calluses. Just use some scrub to get rid of dead skin, file and clip your nails, and keep your nails polished. They'll still look great.
soak them in a bowl of hot water with some salts, then pat dry & use any foot cream
