How can i manage my nose ring boogers??
Question: yes, i know its gross, sorry. I just always seem to have a ton of mucus build up on the stud in my nose. its such a pain. I always have to pick and scrape them out which is a little gross for me. any mature suggestions would be appreciated.
Answers: A saline nasal spray will help limit the build up of the mucus on the nose ring, and help minimize build up in general.
Picking and scraping can irritate the cilia and make the buildup much worse. If you have allergies, then it is no surprises that you have buildup
If you are really daring or willing to try it, you might try nasal irrigation on a daily basis. It may be that you are allergic to the metal too.
But don't go too heavy with the saline (No more than .9% solution!)
Wash both the inside and outside with the solution and then keep your hands off of it!
I haven't had build up on my stud in over 2 years! Don't have to use the solution anymore, but I did early on. You may even need to soak the ball/stud side of it for about 10 minutes to help soak off the mucus.
Get a test tube or small shot glass (I use an old rubbing alcohol bottle because of the small mouth) fill it with the solution (not too much, no need to waste it) and soak for 10 minutes in warm water. The build up does go away, but it takes a while.
But Don't touch it with your hands!
take that discusting ring out and grow the hole shut, ewwwww, infection city! it's probably irrating you.

this is a good question... i have a nose ring too... and what i do is i always carry q-tips with me and a compact mirror... just use the q-tip to take out your boogers and the compact to cover the scene!
hmm... i have never had that problem && it been 2 1/2 years. even when i have a cold or my allergies act up. i would take a q-tip with saline solution or water could even work just to get the crust away. when you take it out does it hurt? you could be allergic to the metal like someone else said. how long have you had it? new piercings tend to crust up maybe when its fully healed it will stop crusting.
I had the same problem myself untill I bought a budgareegar now I have no boogers and the budgie is happy bird,,,can any one tell me how to get budgie doo doos out of a mustach
