What are the pros and cons of getting navel piercing??
Answers: I've had absolutly no problems with mine at all..
The pro's... it looks cool and gives you something to play with when you're bored
The con's.. It hurts, but only for a short while -and- You have to take it out to go on a tanning bed.. argh

I had my navel pierced a few years ago. I don't have it anymore though. It didn't bother me in the ways that I thought it would. I thought it would get in the way when I slept or laid on my stomach but it didn't. My down fall with it was that I was constantly hitting it on stuff at my job (like the high counter top type desks) and clothes would rub or get hung on it. I let mine grow up but I still have a scar from where it once was.
The bad part of getting your navel pierced is with time as you age it'll grow out, and it hurts when you get it done. As far as pros... there are a million reasons to get it done. Just make sure the place you go to actually knows what they're doing. I had mine done 3 times. The first time they pierced too little of my skin, the second time they pierced too much so I couldn't clean it, the third time I went to the guy who pierced my tongue and he did it right.
I can personally only think of cons...infection, its just gross, people tend to treat people with less respect when they have pierced navals.
