Tell me about ear piercing??
Question: i've been thinking i want to get my ears pierced and even though i'm not allowed to until i'm 16 and i'm 12 now i want to know everything so i'm prepared...
here are my questions:
my main question: how much does it hurt? don't tell me that they give you a teddy bear to squeeze, i've already heard that a gazillion times!!!
how do you care for them?
after how long can you put new earrings in?
thanks to everyone who answers
Answers: 1) It all depends on how well you take pain. To me, it felt like getting pinched really hard, but I've had my ears pierced once before I got them redone.
2) Normally, they tell you how to care for them. You should get a solution that you use about twice a day to clean the surrounding area with. Also, you should clean them after you've taken a shower or bath, or you've been swimming. You should twist the earrings around every so often so that they don't adhere to the skin.
3) You should leave the earrings in for up to six weeks before changing them. This gives them time to heal.
It doesn't hurt that bad because the needle is in a sring loaded gun so it is very fast
wow...they tell you all that stuff.
EXACTLY EAR PIERCING-AND THAT IS WERE IT BELONGS ON THE EAR
Ok.....my opinion is every girl needs to have their ear pierced! I mean wearing earrings shows a special little *spunk* to your style! I am not going to lie to you, ear piercing hurts! But, you will get over it and afterwards you will be much happier!!! As soon as you get your ear pierced they put earrings in! You need to get cleaner for your earrings and ears!!!
Pain is all in your mind.
If you're a wimp, you'll cry...
to Normal people it just feels like a tiny bit of pressure.
And NO they don't give you a teddy bear, that's stupid.
If you get it pierced by a professional place, they give you cleaning solution for the ear which you clean it with twice a day (morning & night)
How long to wait depends on where on your ear you get it pierced.
Lobes: You should wait 1-3 months to change the earring, but most people wait until it doesn't hurt anymore.
Cartilage: 3-6 months.
WHen you do change the earring, take the old one out, clean the hole, then clean the new earring (with rubbing alcohol) & then put it in. Never put in a dirty or unclean earring, it's unsanitary & leads to infection.
I have 7 piercings, 6 of which are in my ears... you should be fine.
And when you get it pierced, the place will explain it to you better anyways. You have 4 years. Just chill.
When I got my ears pierced, I felt a pinch then my ears were hot...I got the cleanser that comes with the piercing and applied it everyday and after about two weeks I was fine..I love the results....
It doesn't hurt much. About like a bee sting. It is the least painful peircing that you can get. Wherever you get them pierced they will give you a bottle of piercing cleaner or whatever they call it. But since you are young, you can not legally get your ears pierced without your parents present. But you can pierce them yourself. It is easy, and actually hurts less. First you get something to mark where your earings would go. Make sure they are even. Then get some ice and hold it on your lobes until numb. Make sure you sterilize the needle before peircing. You can you a lighter, and put the flame to the needle. It will clean it, and make it safe to use. Make sure your ears are really numb then proceed with the needle. Have earings ready.
For some it hurts and for others not so much. I didnt think it ever really hurt that bad. I have 10 ear piercings and 5 tattoos. So it definately has to deal with how you handle pain. The gun is fast and you won't even realize it. Sleeping with them can be the painful part. You definately shoud speak with someone at a store that does it....they can give you the best clinically correct answer for how long and stuff...Some people heal quicker, some people are allergic to different metals, some heal slow. It just depends. You are given an ear cleaner when you get them done and that should help. Good luck.
First off, do not get them pieced with a 'gun' it's been proven to increase infection and pain and rubbing alcohol is what they use to 'sterilize' the equipment. Go to a real piercer, have it done with needles the correct way.
It won't hurt that bad, it's a quick pain, done and over with in seconds, you'll be okay, just take a Motrin before if you are really worried.
You care for them by not touching your ears too much for the healing period and using GOOD jewelry (stainless surgical steel, real gold, titanium). Wash with a gentle soap and water to clean them off and occasional soaks in warm sea salt water (Epsom salt/table salt is not the same)
Everyone heals different, you're looking at a 2-6 week healing period if you are good to your ears and use good jewelry (none of those Claire's earrings for a while)
depends on where you get it pierced. i had 3 piercings on each ear two up in the cartiledge and i did that at home and it hurts like a ***** but getting your lobe pierced doesnt hurt at all i got it done when i was 5 without any complaints.
because i didnt take proper care of my ears i had to take out the cartiledge ones. and lemme tell you something, be extremely careful when you put earrings back in them because when i did that i struck a nerve on the inside of my ear and it paralyzed a good junk of my jaw and ear for weeks. you have to clean them everyday and rotate them constantly. you can take switch them out after about a month and maybe a half. good luck.
