Parents with tattoos: Have your children ever reacted negatively to your tattoos??

Question: I see a lot of people who list how will you explain them to your future children as a reason for not getting a tattoo. I would like to know if any parent has had explaining to do because of ink...
thanks! =0)
Answers: I do not have any children of my own, but I do babysit three small children, and I have many cousins and other relatives that have little ones, and I've never gotten a negative reaction from them, either!

In fact, the kids kind of flock to me.
They like the pretty colors. I think I'm like a giant coloring book to them! Lol.

I once babysat two girls who were 8 and 10, and they spent hours going through my case of belly button rings, making me try on different ones, and they were fascinated by how they looked. Haha.

I just wish everyone could be as open minded and accepting as children are...
Never had that problem....my daughter thinks mom's tatoos are cool!
nope my kids are 3 and 11 and they've never said anything negative my 3 year likes the one i have on my lower back
never .....unfortunately that also includes them wanting one their selves...which i said is fine when they are at least 18. I have no problem what so ever with any age showing ink....you should be proud...think of your grandparents and so on who got tatted when they were in some foreign country for standing up for our country.
i am a daughter of a mom and dad who have them. i honestly think that it kind of bothers me that my mom has them not my dad. he only has one and it's small but my mom has like 3 and she is also getting one this year and sometimes it bothers me because it gets old after awhile. they are also bikers so that could also be my resentment form not having a normal childhood but at the same time its fun and exciting. it's just sometimes i wish i had a normal family. thats ok though.
never had that problem
My dad has tattoos. And until a few years ago he had a pot leaf tattoo. When we were younger, him and my mom lied to my sister and I and they told us that it was a Canadian maple leaf. When we found out we were a little disappointed that first of all my dad would be dumb enough to have that tattoo, but also that we were lied to about it. I think there is nothing wrong with anyone getting a tattoo, but you should really think about what you are getting if you have children or are planning on having children. My dad had to get that tattoo covered and now he has an awesome wolf tattoo.
Quite the opposite. My husband and I are quite inked; my 4-year-old has wondered allowed why other kids parents' skin is so boring. It's explaining to the grandparents that's tough:).
My sister's kids have never questioned it nor do they even care really. My bro-in-law is covered and my nephew actually admires it.
never had that problem my kids love them a lot
actually my 5- year old son asked me just yesterday about my tat. i have an eagle-globe-anchor (u.s.marine logo) on my right arm and he thinks it is the coolest thing. but i think it all really depends on a few things like the type of tat, like is it of a nude nature? is it offensive? or is it something like a butterfly? i think the real question is will YOU regtret it? just my opinion.
well, i'm not a parent but both of my parents have tattoos. my mom has one and is thinking about getting another and my dad has one and is getting another one from my tattoo artist on friday. i was excited when they got tattoos. and i have friends who are parents and their children all like their tattoos. i'm sure there will come a time in adolescence when kids may be somewhat embarassed by parents tattoos but most adolescents are embarassed of their parents period. tattoos or not.
no problems here either my kids think they are cool
My oldest son was scared of one of my tats when he was a baby, like 2 years old. But none of my kids are afraid or negative about any of them now.
i have a 3 year old and a 4 year old and they love my tats! although when we watch miami ink they get a little scared!!
My son is only 15 months so I don't know yet but if he wants one when he is older I'm fine with it as long as he has thought long and hard about what he wants and the tattoo place is clean...
I GOT ONE OF MY TAT WITH MY OLDEST SON
