Are eyebrow rings dangerous??
Question: My best friend is thinking of getting an eyebrow ring...
I personally think they are disgusting and would discourage him from being seen as the smart, handsome and educated person he is. I would like to know the risk of getting one just in case he decides to go through with it. (Hopefully not).
Would you hire someone for a prestigeous job who has an eyebrow ring? I would'nt.

In my opinion I would not hire a person with any facial piercings,if they wanna work for me in the field that I plan to persue. Now if I owned a tattoo parlor, then I would think about someone with a eyebrow ring.
well thankfully everyone is not as judgemental as you, because you wear your jewellery a couple of inches further over than other people does not mean that you are uneducated, and usually depicts that someone, who happens to be comfortable enough in who they are without worrying what complete strangers assume about them.
i would advise against a ring however as they can be caught quite easily on clothing, and opt for a banana barbell which is designed exactly for this and sits flush over the brow bone. Respect your friend for being who he always has been to you and for expressing his sense of individuality.

no they are not dangerous as long as the procedure is performed by a professional.
and yes to the next question... i am 29, running a sucessful business and i would hire someone with an eyebrow ring...some of my most brillant friends have facial jewerly...its sad that you cant see past a piece of metal to what could be a very intelligent person.
Now if we have a meeting with our sponsors or something formal, he will remove it temporarily without being asked, but to imply that people with facial jewerly wouldnt be suited or wouldnt be viewed as suitable for a prestigeous job is very closed minded....

The only danger associated with eyebrow piercings are infections. Done at a reputable studio and taken care of properly, the risk for infection is minimal.
BTW, I'm a paramedic, with visible tattoos and piercings. I would say that's a pretty prestigious job.
they're not exactly dangerous but if something was to get caught on it or he was o get into a fight, the chances f it getting ripped off are high, plus if he decides to take it out and leave it out, he will have a scar where the hole used to be, and the holes are not small like ear piercing holes. If the ring gets pulled out he will end up with an even bigger scar. I think they went out of fashion some years ago. I had one but took it out because f work, i worked in a hospital and was told to take it out for health and safety reasons. I wish i never had it done now because im left with a scar where it used to be.
