Vertical labret piercing??
Question: I have a vertical labret piercing, but i just started at walmart. Part of their policy is you can't wear facial piercings while working. I just want to know if anyone knows some sort of spacer to put in it so is doesn't end up ripping or ect. for leaving it out during 8 hour periods. I tried fishing line, but my piercing is a 14 g, and my tat artist said it would still tear from the difference in size.
For those who don't know, a vertical labret is not a reg. labret piercing, instead of just going through the labret and having a flat piece inside your lip, it curves up through the lip and end at the top of my bottom lip.
Anyways, pppllleeeaasseee help :(
Answers: they make clear bar bells and retainers

the Discount Flexible Retainer will probably work best, b/c it will fit your lip.
here are a couple other sites with clear retainers:

if you cant find any of those. there are bars that have a flat top so its just a small metal circle flat against your skin, its still noticable but not as much and ballls
put a little round bandais on it. i see so many girls at walmart like that then u can keep the bar in there
How funny I've never heard of anyone else that had this piercing, I also have a vertical labret. Anyhow you can go and buy clear spacers at any good piercing shop usually for cheap, however if it is still healing, I would recommend leaving the spacer or piercing in as much as possible, try not to take it out. I work in the medical field and when I got my lip done I just work the metal stud, but I didn't wear the ball on it, and I did that and got away with it for a month, and then I was pretty much healed and was able to take it out just while I was at work, then put it in when I got off. That would be my best recommendation! Good luck!
IF the piercing is not healed, you shouldn't be taking it out. But assuming it is healed (and wondering why you would want to work at Wal-mart) you can find retainers for this on many internet body jewelry sites. If the piercing is healed you can find clear and flesh colored retainers, just be sure to clean them after you first recieve them and before you reinsert it. Also keep in mind constant change of jewelry in any piercing can irriate it, so you will want to use caution and tender lovin care when switching jewelry (i.e. continue to clean it well)

Good luck (and I mean no offense by the Wal-Mart comment)
