How does one control body odor/sweating??
Question: I bath every day, use deodorant with anti-perspirant, perfumes, sprays, and the like. Even when I am not perspiring, I have fairly a fairly offensive odor coming from my armpits. You can ask anyone who knows me and they will tell you that I super clean germ-a-phob. Someone, please help!!
Answers: Here's what can work against you:
1. Diet. If you're eating things heavy in garlic, onions and the like, they can seep out throug your pores and cause odor. If you're eating broccoli, beans, etc, well we all know about gas, but it can also cause odor.
2. Chemicals. Bathing daily, plus deoderant, plus perfume, plus sprays etc. You're mixing together about 6 different types of chemicals. And while they smell good on their own, they could be combining to smell bad. Plus, what about detergents in your laundry? Combine that with your deoderant and sweat and now we're talking a chemical broil under your arms.
3. Body Chemistry. The chemical issues above can interract with you just as baddly as with each other. There's a tip for women that says, if you want to buy cologne for a guy, take him with you and put the sample on him, to make sure it smells good ON HIM not just on its own. Same with anything else. Your body chemistry may be interracting baddly with one or more of the products you use. Try a different soap or a different deoderant and see what happens. Also, your clothes may not help it either. I thought I had an odor issue but I realized it was only happening with one particular shirt. I don't know why it was, but as soon as I stopped wearing (i.e. sweating in) the shirt, I never had the problem again.
4. Clothing. Make sure your arms can breathe. If you're wearing something sleeveless or shortsleeved you should be fine, but if it 's something with heavy material or the like, you may not be getting enough air flow.
Try changing the conditions. Different soap, then different deoderant, or ease up on the perfume.
And of course 5. YOU'RE NOT GETTING RID OF THE ODOR
Aside from washing, all those things you do just covers the odor up. The odor is still there, you're just trying to make people notice a different odor. See if you can get a better soap to absorb odor, and even consider spraying your underarms with thist stuff called Approach. You can get it online at www.approachit.net It's awesome stuff, no chemicals, totally safe and will eliminate odor.
Keep trying different things until you see improvement, and in the mean time you can use the approach stuff as a way to eliminate it in between showers etc. You'll be fine, just keep trying to find the source.
Good luck!
it depends on what you eat. Some chinese that eat alot of cabbage have that happen; along with indians who eat spicy food. if you eat asparagus, have you noticed that you urine smells alot different and worse. My suggestion, eat alot of sweet fruit, like watermelon.
i know someone that had that problem and they used roll on anti perspirant right after they got out of the shower and used some cream stuff in the mornig. It worked because they dont sweat anymore!
I had a problem with this growing up. Make sure to scrub my armpits everyday. Use a liquid soap. Old Spice makes an excellent liquid. sports soapTrim the hair out of the armpit. Use a combination deoderant/fragrance like AXE. I also apply to the middle of the back, as this generates sweat as well. I hope this helps.
I did Botox and it worked like a charm. The day after and for the next 6 months I didn't need deodorant...but now I am going 9 months and have noticed a little perspiration, so I use it now. You probably need Botox every 6-12 months. And if you tell your doctor you have a sweating issue that is embarressing and ruins your shirts you can get your insurance to pay for it. That's how I did it. Good luck!
u might be able to go to a doctor and get some sort of prescribed deodorant for people who perspire great amounts.
