Need help.. dermabrite/chemical peel??

Question: im wanting to treat pigmentation on my face. has anyone used dermabrite or any other creams at home to get rid of pigmentation? gonna cost £125 per TCA treatment and they say about 4 would do the trick. £600 I aint got but this is really depressing me and Im already suffering from severe depression. do they have trainees who perform chemical peels for a fraction of £
Answers: I agree with the other postee that in order to get some type of cosmetic procedure done, one must be in a reasonably good state of health and mind. Perhaps you can hold off on looking into a chemical peel and strive to get your depression more manageable.

For diagnosing depression or any type of mental health problem (in the states at least :), it is typically done by a clinical psychologist (Ph.d) or licensed/clinical social worker (LCSW) and either can diagnose and possibly get reimbursed from health insurance. If you do go to a therapist and he or she feels that you may benefit from medication such as the ssri (selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor) meds such as prozac, zoloft or paxil, perhaps you can go to a psychiatrist that they recommend. I have clinical depression myself and take prozac weekly, the time released prozac. It really helps to manage the chemical imbalance that is believed to be the cause of those with a clinical depression.

So if or when you get the extra help and still would like to get a chemical peel, that would be a better time to do so, when you have the illness under control. Mostly (make sure board-certified) dermatologists do the chemical peel I believe, just fyi. Please do get help first for the depression and take good care.
are you sure something that severe is the answer to your depression, your getting depressed because of the money, perhaps deal with the depression first then deal with the rest.
Have you looked elsewhere?
That sounds a little expensive. And it does work and it isn't harmful like someone else just suggested. All it's doing is peeling away old skin though. This is something you would have to repeat again later.
