Need advice for Makeup, especially those using Bare Escentuals makeup aka i.d. bareMinerals??

Question: I was on sephora.com the otherday with my daughter, and i came across bare escentuals. My daughter, a preteen with acne(remember that) saw the i.d. foundation, mineral veil, and RareMinerals Nighttime Revival. Now she is dying for it!! As any mother does, I said yes to her and now since sephora is coming to menlo park mall, she wants to go there and buy it. The cost doesn't bother me, i just want to know is it safe for her? I mean, it is for ladies, not preteens. But it just may help her. THe thing is i've never used bare escentuals so i dont know much. BUT FOR ANYONE WHO HAS USED OR IS CURRENTLY USING BARE ESCENTUALS, please give me advice. Again, i want to know if it is safe for my preteen blemished daughter. Products are: Mineral Veil, i.d. Foundation (powder), and RareMinerals nighttime treatment. PLEASE ANSWER!! thanks :)
Answers: Yes, bare escentuals are very safe (unless she's allergic to it). I have been using bare escentuals for quite a while and I am absolutely hooked. Haven't had any problems so far.
The thing with BE is that since it's minerals, it won't clog pores... which won't give problems to a person with acne. I have had acne while using BE and it is so light that you can't even feel you have anything on (another reason why I like it).
If you apply the foundation with the concealer brush nicely, it should conceal the acne as well.
Try it, I bet she will like it. And if not, at least she didn't irritate her skin with a foundation that is harmful to your face.
Yes, this product is very safe. I am 14 years old and have been using it for about a year and it never gave me any problems. I too have problem with blemishes but this product line works fabulous to cover and help clear them up as well. I would highly recommend it. Even you can use it too.
I use bare minerals and I have acne. I am not sure what the rare minerals nighttime treatment does. I also use sephora and they have a great return policy online. You can check what store policy is.
Bare minerals is a powdered based system. The concealer is bisque. A person either wears summer bisque or bisque depending on skintone. I would get that product if you want to conceal the acne.
The fact that you have a sephora comming is good because she can try the product.
As to if it is safe for a pre-teen I would contact customer service. They have a number for customer service for the product. Look on their website. http://www.bareessentials.com they customer service is very helpful. I have called them several times for questions. Bare essentials is a product that is worn by people with acne, so that part should be okay. It also has a sunscreen in it so that is helpful.
I would also check with your daughters dermatologist or other doctor that is prescribing her acne regimen. If she is not on an acne regimen I would see if they want to put her on one or if it is okay for her to go on proactiv.

I really like the products because it is not a sticky foundation. It is more time consuming for me at this point because I am new to it.

Some people can be irritated by an ingredient they use. Try puritycosmetics.co.uk. It is made from natural ingredients and looks really good on your skin!
