Spray-on foundation??
Question: For those who have used this, what are you using and what do you think about it?
Is it any better than the traditional liquid foundation and brush application?
Answers: I've played with the era and the dior versions of the spray on. Truthfully, I don't feel they are worth the money. They are trying to mimic airbrush application. The problem is that they aren't able to mimic the precision of airbrush makeup so you still have to blend them with a sponge. The thing that makes airbrush makeup unique is that you don't touch it once it's on the face. The pigment is micronized and sprayed in such a fine precise layered pattern that that it lays on top of the skin covering over acne, scars, and lines. Any makeup that you have to press or blend is being pressed into the skin which looks identical to traditional makeup application. It's this lack of being able to sit on the skin undisturbed that makes it just another gimmicky foundation trying to cash in on airbrush makeup. A true aibrush machine allows the skin to breathe and gives a precise cover layer of pigment for that airbrushed look. These spray cans just can't do that. All of them say to spray on and then blend with a sponge. If you are going to blend with a sponge, just use a regularly priced liquid makeup. They are nice foundations as far as coverage goes but they aren't any more special than your newer liquid foundations.
My sister does not like it.
It's more artificial.
Have you tried the Shu Umera range?
