Going from light auburn to blonde??

Question: Any hair experts or people who have had this done, I would appreciate your advice. How involved would it be for me to have a colorist change my hair from light auburn to blonde, as in how damaging? It's usually hard to get the red tones out of my hair when I get the color done, but I've only had highlights and all over light brown before. Thanks.
Answers: i have read that auburn is going to the 'the' color for fall. why dont you just add a few highlights/lowlights tochange it up a bit before taking the big step?
yur ugly anyway ho
quit trying to be like everyone else, stick to ur naturl colour, LOSER
Red hair really holds that 'red' and it is tough to get a true pale blonde out of it, but it can be done...but at a sacrifice because yeah, the bleach really has to sit on that hair to get it to come up, and yes, that does damage your hair. When you do get it to come up, put in a color to fill in the hair shaft...that will help it look and 'feel' healthier...just choose the lightest blonde shade you can get. Red hair IS stubborn to get to lighten to that pale blonde but can be done...sometimes you have to bleach and bleach again to get the higher shade that you want but it can be done. It is hard on hair.
It is actually going to be alot easier than what you think. When a person has dark hair and bleaches it the process goes slow until it hits the red stage, once you get to the red stange the process goes faster. With your hair being auburn you are already at that stage and it will not take long like as if you had dark hair, not sure why you are being told that?

If you go to a professional stylist you will see how easy this can be done. I'm glad you are not planning on coloring it yourself.

Yes, it will become a bit dryer than what it is now, but you can use a good moisturizing shampoo & conditioner and strengthen your hair.

Good Luck,
