Hair henna??

Question: This ? is for girls who have used henna on their hair to color it before. From what I have saw from my friends it does dye your hair a reddish color. I have black hair and some grays are coming in which I want to hide will henna work or dye it red? I do not want to use hair dye.
Answers: well
the colour depends upon its stay on hairs, its purity & way of making.if u r getting paste its fine but if u r getting henna powder then there r some tricks & tips .
if u want a dark colour make black tea (without suger ) & add henna powder in it mix it well till it become a thick paste & then apply
it.but apply it only for an hour or two.
When I wanted to get semi-permanent lowlights last year, the woman in the salon put some brownish henna in my hair. It was a bit more red then I wanted [I just wanted plain brown] but it was still a reddish brown, which is probably what you are looking for, and stayed in for about a month [it would have stayed longer were it not for a trip to Mexico in the sun]. It was worthwhile ++ didn't take too long, even though I have really long hair!
I think there are a lot of misconceptions about Henna.
The actual henna is produced by grinding the green leaf
of the henna plant. It is used as a natural conditioner.
If u have grey hair it turns brownish tint. IT CANNOT BE USED TO COLOR YOUR HAIR.
It is very helpful to hair growth and it enhances the hair health.
I recomend it to use once in a week.
It is worth applying henna even if it is heavy to apply.

But you can find coloring henna in the market.
It is produced by mixing other aditives to henna
and it is not 100% natural.

when u buy henna do not buy coloring henna. ask for original henna w/o colorant.
Hi !

Since you have black hair and would like to naturally dye your hair with henna, you can do so. Yes your greys will become reddish as well. It may either end up looking like highlights and you might like it or it might be too bright. If the color isn't as dark as you would like then you add amla powder to darken the color some, or indigo is your best way to go.
Indigo is a natural black dye that is used on hair. You can add this to make brown to black tones on your hair (when used along with henna powder).
Just make sure you use 100% pure body art quality henna powder so that it doesn't have any additives or metallic salts that can damage your hair.
