Are you 100% honest with your hairstylist about the way they do your hair??
Question: I am a hairstylist,- have been for 14 years. I have always told my customers they can be honest with me. Yet, I have lost customers, with whom I thought I had a good relationship with. As a salon customer, I don't think I have always been honest with my stylists, because I didn't want them to think that I thought I knew how to do things better than them,- or because I felt intimidated by them.
Answers: I have naturally pin straight, fine hair. There isn't really much a stylist can do with my hair, but if I get it cut, and I want it to look different, I say something, but of course in a nice way.
No, sometimes I walk out and just want to scream...but I am to nice to let her know...I just know the next time that I go in I will let her know what I do not want...My problem is that I have curley hair and a lot of people do not know how to do it.....
At times I am and at times no I am not. But then again when my mother does my hair because she is a hairstylist it is easier to be honest with her. And for the times that I can not get into see her I see others and with them no I am not because I don't want to think that they didn't do a good job. I do understand that this is your job and it reflexs on you as a stylist. But how do you tell a stylist that you are not happy with what they have done to your hair.
Question for you?!
Do hair stylists listen to their customers 100%. I mean when you tell the stylist whatway you want your, hair a certain way and they say we can do that and when your done it doesn't look any thing like you told the stylist?! Or they try to push a new style on you that you would never be caught dead with.
Why does this happen?
Not usually, unless it is exactly what I wanted. I no longer have a specific stylist since we are no longer speaking (she WAS my best friend and sister-in-law). If my new do is less than perfect I usually say thanks and do not return to that particular person. The last thing I want to do is upset a person that has a pair of sissors pointed at my head!!
No. I'm letting my hair grow out for my wedding. Every time I ask for a trim, I always seem to get a CUT. But, by the time it's done it's...done. There's nothing you can do at that point.
