Should I get my hair layered??
Question: I have really - and I mean really thick curly brownish reddish hair, and a heart shaped face, and it is always so difficult to get my hair to look good cause it's more like the ears on a spaniel and sticks up. What exactly are layers, how would they help and could you tell me how many there should be and how long?
Also - in Sweden, a hair cut could cost up to 200 bucks which is a big load, so my mother who is a cosmetologist says she could try to cut it. Any tips, or suggestions on where to have the layers and how many? Thanks for your help!
Answers: Yea you should. I have thick, wavy hair. Maybe not as thick as yours but I always layer it. Sometimes I get lots of layers but if its the first time you're gona get your hair cut like that, stick to a few layers. And don't make the ones at the top too short or your hair will look puffed up. Save up and get it done at a salon. Bring your mom along so she can see how its done. If you want to cut it again, your mom can do it for you.
depends on how long ur hair is but i think layers would be fine and maybe you should have her thin your hair out a little bit for you i just cut my friends hair into layers today and it turned out really good go for it it always grows back
Buy a fashion magazine, test the waters first... then decide
It all depends of the length of your hair.
Start with this styles then imagine your hair colour to the hairstyles.
It may not be as adviseable for a thick curly hair be layered. For one, the layers will not be as visible as you would have expected since it is like you said curly. You might need to have a straighter hair, though thick, for a layered hair attain its fullest beauty. Try using shampoos that make your hair straighter, there are a lot available in beauty shops.
Maybe before having your haircut, try going to a wig shop and try out different hairstyles without having it permanently done in yourself. Or you can also check out celebrity magazines and find some examples that you like which you can later show to your mom or a different stylist. In that way, you can really choose the hairstyle you want.
Goodluck!
Definitely get your hair layered, it will make your hair lay correctly. Have them give you long layers starting around the chin or ears. I wouldn't trust anyone with my hair but a professional. If you don't like what your mother does, it could affect your relationship with her. I'd go to a professional shop and spend the $200. You'll be glad you did. Good luck.
get your hair straightend and then layered. in three layers..... it will keep it from poofing out so much
