Which razor do you think has the closet shave??
Answers: Sorry to be old-school on this one, but....
Standard issue Gilette Mach 3. Let me explain. Yes, their new Fusion razors are generally easier to use and produce fewer cuts, but....
Fusion razors also have bigger heads. You can't work them all over your face the way you can with a smaller razor, not unless you *want* to butcher yourself with that unnecessary sixth blade on the back (why?). I mean, it isn't a big difference, except for the few places where stretching the skin out doesn't help, like right under the earlobe, or where the upper lip ends and the underside of the nose begins.
Aside from that bit though....well, they both will get about as close, the newer (and more pricey) razor is simply *much* easier to use is all. Really, at that point, it isn't about the razor anymore, it is also about the shaving cream or gel you use, and also the aftershave you use (so that your skin heals up nicely between shaves). Given the same shaving kit otherwise, either razor will get within *one percent* of the other in terms of closeness (though the cheaper razor will be worse in terms of cuts and burn).
Hope this helps. :)
