Have you ever sold jeans on eBay???
Question: I have about 7 pairs of jeans that I want to sell on eBay, but I need some info before I start selling. I have always been a buyer on eBay and never a seller, so I need some help from someone WHO HAS SOLD JEANS ON EBAY BEFORE.
First off, what kind of packaging should I use when I ship the jeans?
Also, usually, how much is the total for just the shipping of jeans?
I would really appreciate someones help. And yes, I will pick the best answer for the 10 points.
Answers: I use to sell jeans on ebay...not much time for it these days but I always mailed my sold items priority in the envelopes available at the post office. I'd just wrap them in a layer of bubble wrap and mail them that way. It usually cost somewhere around $5 they get there a little faster than if you were just to mail them first class but guys jeans may be a little more expensive to mail as they are heavier. If you go to USPS.com theres a section on there where u can calculate shipping by entering the weight and zip codes to and from the destination. Hope this helps!
I have tried to but they did not sell. I bought a pair myself and they just send in regular larger brown envelope. Total would be around $5 for shipping.
Nope.
anything really.. or nothing! if it's in a box, i use wrapping tissue or a plastic bag (i usually stay away from newspaper, but for jeans it doesn't really matter)
depending on how thick i can stick them in a priority mail bag, and that takes care of that.
shipping depends on where it's going.. for thicker jeans, i'd just charge $9, since it varies by zip code. sometimes it's cheaper (like if it's going atlanta to CA) to just use the flat rate box (i think it's $8 something). but if it's a shorter distance the variable rate priority mail is better. maybe someone could give you prices on parcel post, but it's only a tiny bit cheaper and takes about 4 times as long to get there.. and i'd rather pay an extra buck or two so it gets there fast and i can be completely done with the transaction..
Hi!
I'v sold loads of clothes on ebay, including jeans. What you have to do in the title is make something that people can find! Lo. Men's Sz. M Medium Jeans lot w/ Name Brands! or whatever sz and store they come from!
Then, take clear pictures of them (one or two pics) and describe them.
Shipping for this many pairs of jeans can be quite pricy. Say around 25 dollars. Sounds like a lot, but it's true! You can package them in a regular cardboard box with some tissue paper wrapping.
Make sure to have a clear description of your return policy, and flaw the jeans may have, that they can conatct you, etc. etc.
Good Luck!
I used to sell jeans on ebay...I now sell them on www.BuyandSellJeans.com. It is way better and cheaper. You should try it out. It is free to post!!
You should charge $6 for shipping anymore would be to much. (per jean)
You should ship the jeans in a usps envelope, it is the perfect size and does not add weight to the package.
If I were you, I'd do a search on Ebay and see what similar brands are selling for. If you want to sell them in a lot or single. Shipping is expensive so don't cut yourself short. I've never heard of using a brown envelope for an adult pair of jeans. I as an Ebay seller would be afraid it'd bust! I like to use USPS boxes that are free at the post office. And if you're doing a lot, grab a flat rate box. Up charge your shipping $1-2 to cover your ebay fees. Check out everyone's shipping prices too.
Hey if you make $5 on 10 items, that's $50. Some money is something for the holidays. I pay for our holidays with my kids outgrown clothes selling them on Ebay.
I think there's a free gallery that's good until Dec. 12th. FREE PHOTO! Try not to end on a holiday weekend and I like to end on a Sunday night. GOOD LUCK! Make some cash and have some fun!
Hello there,
I sold a pair of skinny jeans on EBay about 4 months ago. I bought them for £3.00 in the sale, they didn't fit and so I gave EBay a go. Sold them for £23!
I took loads of photographs and then picked the best one to publish, added in all the measurements and provided some detail about the embellishments
Sold them for £20.00 and charged £3.00 postage to send them from Glasgow to France. Packaged them in bubble wrap and a padded envelope. Not a problem did I encounter.
Hope that helps
