Does it really matter it you dont wear name brand clothes??
Question: why do people make such a bug deal out of oh i shop from abreacrombiem,or hollister or i go to american eagle, i mean does it really matter who gives a **** dude if you have name brand. i get really angry when people show off like that no offence to any whitepeople iam not being races but why do most white girls shop at thoese stores and i only see them wearing stuff from there?
Answers: Brand loyalty is pretty dysfunctional in this day and age. At one time, a good brand meant a quality product. You'd buy a piece of clothing and it would last you, feel good to wear etc. Levi Strauss, for instance, built his name and reputation selling something that served an honest purpose; namely a rugged trouser that earned its stripes out on the streets and in the fields of early America. Now Levi's is a behemoth enterprise that have only a nominal connection to the reputation on which it was built.
Today you will find many such brands that are more of a fashion statement in and of themselves and have no practical value. See those supermodels on the stage wearing outrageous clothes that nobody would be caught dead wearing in public? It's Babylon until the money runs out. Don't be fooled by a heavily branded rag marked up by 3000% that was made in India by underage sweatshop workers; it's still garbage and the company selling it is seeking to bilk you out of your hard earned money by playing on your insecurities.
To answer your question on race; most White, American females who are brand conscious in the way you speak of are in the third or fourth generation of their family; as it's said, the first generation builds, the second maintains, the third destroys. The Paris Hiltons of the world have money to burn on expensive garbage as people die of starvation and see their families lost to war on the other side of the world. Obviously such women are not globally conscious, nor do they have the least bit of soul in them to be more than reactive, consuming animals.
Paris is important as a brand in the fashion industry, but also a symbol of Western decline, an embodiment of a society that no longer manufactures anything, lacks discipline and work ethic, have no rooted perception of value and quality as they live in a plastic bubble engendered out of the wealth of previous generations. A cumulative, indiscriminating mouth seeking to feed itself with whatever it can get ahold of is what the clinically obese American consumer is, and to Asia, this beast is now ripe for the kill.
Develop a genuine sense of quality by getting a feel for the fabrics and tailoring that you find comfortable and long-lasting. It's not unlike taste in art and music. If you listen to what's new and cool, you're parroting the brain dead consuming public which has declined in perceptual quality for 50 years now. If you're really interested in clothing and brand, study the amorers of the middle ages, who had a one-on-one relationship with their clients. Visit a museum and check out the real stuff. You'll find some brands have earned their reputation while others have not.

i couldn't care less if it's brand name our if it's from a thrift store. as long as it fits and looks good who cares where it comes from. besides for the amount of money that some people spend on 1 outfit at those stores i can buy a whole wardrobe. i don't get why people seem to be obsessed with brand names either.
