What should I wear to a Sweet 16??
Question: I know, a guy asking for fashion advice may seem weird, but I am going to my first ever Sweet 16 next week, and I don't know what to wear. I suppose my biggest fear is that I'll dress completely different from everyone else, and kind of stick out. The girl who's having the party said that we don't have to wear a suit, or even a tie. She said to dress formally. So, what should I wear. There is going to be a lot of dancing. Should I tuck my shirt in or leave it out? What kind of shirt should I have? Are kackis alright? Any advice would be great
Answers: well formal means ...a tux and gowns. Considering she is 16 she probably has no idea what she's talking about. So i would say ...something like an ironed dress shirt (button up, collar) and nice pants and belt. Im sure thats what everyone else will wear. You can throw on a tie for extra pizzaz or even a blazer with no tie would be nice too.
Tucking is up to you.. but you should wear a belt that matches your shoes.
Khakis are more of a day outfit....but they would be nice if you dress up the rest of your outfit.

Im sure everyone else wont be that dressed up so i say its better to be over dressed them under dressed. Ask everyone else what they are wearing...and if you wear a blazer you can always just take it off too dress it doww.
a nice dress shirt ughh maybe black dress pants and nice shoes NO TENNIS SHOES

id wear black or gray pants and a dress shirt. keep it tucked in for when you arrive and then let it go when you start to dance. that would be your safest bet.
