What kind of shirt/tie should I get to go along with this??
Question: I have a black pinstriped suit. I'll be attending an event with my date, who simply cannot decide which color dress she'll be wearing, but insists that it will be a bright color of some sort. Maybe red, maybe pink, maybe green. Maybe something else.
What kind of shirt/tie combo should I get that could complement some kind of bright dress, since I don't know what it's going to be?
Answers: If you don't know what the color will be then don't get any funky bright colors unless you know for sure that they'll match. Just do the basic- black shirt and white tie, white shirt with a white vest and a black tie, etc. You don't want to mix and match colors though, who knows, if you buy a red tie and she wears a green dress you guys would look like a Christmas couple which isn't the thing to show off in spring. If you absolutely want color, a pale yellow tie and/or vest would also go nicely.

a soft green would look nice. but you would want to wait and see what she wears. if all else fails, get all the colors and keep the tags/receipts. let her pick it out and take the rest back when you have time.
