What kind of dress should I wear for my Confirmation??
Question: I'm Catholic, and I'll be getting confirmed next month. We're required to wear dresses for our confirmation (robes will not be provided). According to instructions, the dress cannot be strapless, halter, or spaghetti strap (if they are, you must wear a cardigan sweater over it).
I would appreciate answers from people who are either going to be confirmed soon or have already gone through the process. I am planning on wearing a conservative dress, but do you have any ideas and/or pictures of cute and appropriate dresses for the occasion?

Answers: I wore a simple, white, peasant top dress to my confirmation, as they didn't provide us with robes either. You also may want to consider buying one of the dresses that is one of the styles that is not reccomended and wear the cardigan, because cardigans are remarkably in style this year, and you will be more likely to get a little extra use out of the dress. Express and Jcrew usually have some good styles, as does any department store juniors department. Avoid black, brown, and navy, even though they are in style, as they are not really appropriate for this occassion. Enjoy your night.
first of all congrats!! i would like to say that i havnt recieved my confirmation but i know a thing or two about dresses. be pure and wear white. it just looks so crisp and classical!!have a good time!

i have many experiences with catholics and confirmation. u may want 2 wear white as it symbolises purity chastity. a simple puff on the sleeves and a break front knee length straight dress will do the trick. wear this with a white string to the side. this is very simple yet elegant and fitting for the occassion. enjoy!
A suit is a nice option, and will be a nice addition to your wardrobe. Just be certain the hem reaches longer than your fingertips.
a cute but not to party like something relaxed a long flowing skirt or just some fancy dress pants not to expensive though its only one thing
something that will focuss more on the confirmation and not so much the dress
